… ich freue mich … der Stil und der Umgangston miteinander sind seriös und humorvoll … und trotzdem sachlich … ein großes Problem sind jedoch die Übersetzer … sie denken viel zu wenig in jener Sprache in die sie übersetzen sollen … trotzdem bin ich gerne bei dieser Gruppe …

Hört Leute, hört mir zu …
Meine Märchen beginnen nicht mit „Es war einmal“, wie Ihr es gewohnt seid, sondern mit „Hört Leute, hört mir zu!“ …
Diese Geschichte hat sehr ungewöhnlich begonnen, auf einem Hügel gegenüber der größten Festung, die Idi in seinem Leben gesehen hatte. „Madame Gloriette“, die Zeichenprofessorin, machte die Klasse noch langen Schatten aufmerksam und dann wurde darauf losgezeichnet. Das Zeichenblatt war sehr klein, aber die Festung zu groß. Bei dem einen waren die Türme abgeschnitten, beim anderen Nachbarn fehlte die Aufzugsbahn, keiner brachte die Festung zur Gänze auf das Blatt. „Was soll das werden?“ kreischte eine Stimme hinter Idi, „wohl eine große Katastrophe! Versprich mir, nie mehr in deinem ganzen Leben einen Pinsel zum Malen oder einen Bleistift zum Zeichnen in die Hand zu nehmen! Sonst drehe ich mich im Grab um.“
Idi hat Wort gehalten. Er arbeitete immer mit Spachteln und harten Gummirollen, aber nie mit Bleistiften oder Pinseln, sodass Gloriette sich nicht im Grab umzudrehen brauchte. Was niemand wissen konnte, war während des Sargversenkens in die Grabestiefe den Totengräbern das Seil aus den Händen geglitten und hatte dem Leichnam die Lendenwirbel verdreht. Und was außerdem niemand weiß, ein verdrehtes Kreuz ist das Schlimmste, was einer toten Leiche widerfahren kann. Gloriette litt! Aber auch das wusste niemand.
Bis Idi sehr hastig nach einem Pinsel griff, weil keine der Spachteln auffindbar war. Ein Pinselstrich rettete das Bild … und Gloriette aus ihrer misslichen Lage. Jetzt haben Lehrerin und Schüler einander vergeben.

… kennt Ihr den Bobo? … Bobo war Idis Freund! … er war ein paar Jahre älter als Idi und viel stärker … ähnlich wie Tom Sawyer und Huckleberry Finn … Idi du darfst keine Geschichten in English schreiben … dein English ist nicht gut genug … mein English ist zwar ganz schlecht D- bis F+ … aber ich darf das … mir glauben die Leute dass ich dumm bin … aber dir niemals … das sagte Bobo und grinste breit … einverstanden meinte Idi, aber nur dann, wenn du das schreibst was ich sage … da waren sich die beiden einig …
… und wo sollen wir schreiben? … in der Lounge natürlich … nein im Poetry Month … aber dort sind nur die Gedichte … und nur Frauen … da fürchte ich mich … weil Mr. Icas keine klare Linie hat …
… wir werden Peter fragen … der weiß alles … wenn er es nicht weiß, dann ruft er immer in London an …
