This expressive abstract inspires a meditative serenity and holds the viewer in a receptive frame of mind. The entire composition solicits a feeling of relationship and belonging. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Creative idea and attractive group of colors from warm orangey ocra color to violet and lilac color with dark back ground and few sports of white to emphasis the contrast and add depth. Reducing the many elements/objects to fewer, would have improved a subtle and delicate composition.
I appreciate the use of butterflies and hearts as symbols. There is a quality of innocence in this art work. The soft pastel colors also lend themselves to a gentle movement within the painting. The objects appear to be floating and translucent creating a feeling of serenity and other worldliness! Thank you for your submission.
Fronted profiles making one face & butterflies at the same time under the milky way is poetry, & a great find. Motifs both linked & free floating express well your idea; The space seems without a bound & full of random possibilities.
I love its inocence, also reminiscent of some ancient culture pictography & would be glad to see more. Thanks.
I am afraid Naomi, I find this work too literal and too pictureque to view it as seriously abstract. It has an appealing niave quality an the ambiguity of air and water offering some elemental rhythmic interplay between the shapes but I find it hard to find locate the true locus of thought in abstraction here. I am sorry to have to disappoint you, it does not really work for me.
