Thanks so much for your submission. The painting is very well articulated. The composition is strong, with good balance, use of color and tones in a way that strengthen the art work. I like the symbolism. The person on the shield is not happy and there is a reversed an anhk symbol which represents life. The guard is looking passively the other way. Perhaps your intention was a symbolic painting that outlines how we are not really safe. This is a question! Either way, this is a powerful painting and I love the style that you have painted it in. I hope to see more of your art work.
Patterns. colors. light values and symbols all combine to make this a wonderful work. Such an intriguing piece asks for further explanation from the artist but beyond that the work is powerful and captures the viewers imagination and holds the attention in a search through the painting taking in it’s balance in shape and color.
The artistic dark horse. I love the dark political satiric undertone set against the jovial nonchalance of dutiful guardedness. Beautiful play on perspectives, literal and figurative delivered with intriguing intelligence.
