Anticipation by Vered Terry

November was dry and warm. not a drop of rain. Yesterday a north wind brought all those clouds. They called it a storm and promissed rain. Land and i were holding our breath. It snowed today, but we could not know it yesterday when i painted the filed. (i did it myself, did not steal from Leonardo nor from Picasso, so you can call it original)

  1. Vered is always impressive; the work as a whole is touching; how the Nature suddenly changes and fill the vacuum to the dramatic change; the scenario is changed and you prefer silence to observe; let the Nature ends her drama unfold before you.

  2. You do so much with so little as you take a landscape that many would not attempt. You take a scene not particularly emphatic as a subject and through your rendering turn it into a vibrant, flowing slice of nature that appeals to the spirit of the viewer with meaning and emotion by melding a part of you into the canvas. Most definitely original, executed with feeling and perception welling forth from within. Some artists compose while you (in the spirit of Vincent) react.

  3. Thanks so much for this submission. Your creative vision and excellent skills have once again developed this “moment in time.” You are a Master of High Realism Vered. This composition is full of the proof; a palette of colors developed from primaries and grayed or tinted to keep all the colors in the same family; a well balanced canvas divided into thirds, a swooping rhythm leading the viewers eye up and into the clouds; infinite details that are not over worked. Congratulations on your authentic art language in working with oils! I look forward to seeing more of your creations.

  4. The title “Anticipation” suits the painting very well. The field is parched, the cloud formations move quickly above and beyond the landscape and far into the distance. Stirring an anticipation of change in the weather, much needed by the thirsty land. Excellent.
