I work with all kinds of materials mixed with acrylic paints and gesso primer. I’m always looking for ways to reuse what others may consider waste material.

  1. The beauty of nature unfolds in this peace enticing the viewer into a reflective mood through its meditative blues of aquatic abstraction and the life giving penetration of sunlight into it’s depth. The composition has a subtle and gentle effect reflecting merging beauty with mystery within it’s living, moving, organic depiction of a natural pleasing moment in time.

  2. The painting has movement and depth, with a good choice of colour and contrast. I really like the title “The sun is ruffles in the water”. The eye is immediately drawn upwards towards the light breaking through the surface, then downwards following the light through the water to the depths, where the ever moving motion dissipates the light. I look forward to seeing more work from this artist.

  3. Thank you for your submission and I am very happy to hear that you are using eco friendly waste materials. Although your work may not be archival, this is a very real bonus for Mother Earth. The composition is powerful with the use of various blues and a warm yellow light which gives life to the whole painting. I first saw this as the ocean and then my son glanced over and said, “Well, that is a great painting of earth, Mom! So re examining this art work I was able to see a micro (view looking up from under the water) or a macro (view from outer space looking down on our earth; clouds, mountain tops, ocean) I find this art work to be totally engaging, with excellent rhythm, balance, color and tones. I look forward to seeing more of your art work.
