My new painting, ‘Animal waiting at the edge of ‘fragmented emptiness’ was created from inspiration by looking at the part a crow mucks filled cane chair (image attached) – a random subject, selected as a ‘DA VINCI’S TECHNIQUE/METHOD’. I intuited the image as a ‘reality’ existing between me and my lovely crow, named Kokku. I found a chick crow six months ago, sitting at the edge of a busy highway accompanied by her mother. It seemed as the mother crow was in a state of anxiety and fear because of her chick’s inability to fly and she carefully prevented her not to move towards the tiring street. Why the crow chick’s physical capability was weakened is unknown but one of the possible reasons is the towers, raised for the competing mobile phone providers around most of the habitats and heavily populated areas. Latest scientific reports suggest the microwave radiation from such crammed towers contributes precarious damages to the flora and fauna prodigiously. I closely watched the birds and found the crow chick was in danger because of her inability to fly and her position; a short jump on the hurry road may harm her life. I decided and then rescued the chick and silently said to the mother crow that her child will be safe. Kokku, a very sensitive, emotional and intelligent being now lives with my family well and she usually walks on the floors and sleeps on a cane chair regularly. Days later I found her vibrant mucks on a particular portion of the chair was a ‘composition’ as an uneven surface pattern, illuminated with softened light and peculiar shadows. The painting, ‘Animal waiting at the edge of ‘Fragmented Emptiness’ is a ‘Transition’ from a physique to a visual prejudice and the painting was created from the real images of Kokku’s mucks, originated on her cane chair. I like to reflect this painting as homage to Kokku’s mother who enormously loved and passionately protected her child from a dangerous situation. Innovations helps majority of the human life more comfortable and accessible is true but at the same time their negative influences makes torments and injuries to the nature and other beings, including humans too. I made this painting to narrate the life of a crow, who wished to fly to her freedom but failed, possibly because of the dark side of innovations.

  1. Flight of imagination from reality to abstract expressionism; wonderful. The long description by the artist is touching and expression” Fragmented Emptiness” is unique. The creativity has many opportunities to emerged from nothing to Something!

  2. The originality of this work is certainly are reflection from within and the composition, perspective, light values and balance are excellent. The work is intriguing, strong in impact and well executed.

  3. This artist has extraordinary imagination and originality within his work. A unique and original idea using the mucks on the cane chair for inspiration. However on viewing the artwork I feel that a combination of the mucks on the cane chair, the cane chair itself along with the reason and inability of the birds flight have all collectively inspired the artist.
The colours used inspired by the mucks which perfectly intensify the sad and sombre nature of the artwork. The legs of the deformed “animal like” creature seem to have been inspired by the cane structure of the back of the chair and their hollowed out appearance conveys difficulty in movement to the observer. The wing like structures are placed like useless antlers, giving rise to an inability to fly. The questioning stare, perfectly reflects the artists story of the crow, its inability to fly, the damage and deformity possibly caused by radiation. Excellent.
