  1. The figure plane of the seat of the chair and the back of the chair due to the difference in lighting create a dynamic cubist artwork. The circular seat comes into play defining another upward turned figure plane. The entrance into this composition is easy and smooth due to the legs of the chair being cropped. We enter the work swiftly and our eye moves into the circle of the seat, to the dark toned bird to the upper red square, to the lower red square. The shadow of the bird suggests another dimension beyond this world and the upper rectangle is a foreshadowing of the skeletal bones in the lower rectangle. The red and yellow lines bring to this composition the power of color that completes the art work. There is a wonderful “static” rhythm that keeps our eye moving around and around the art work. This is a strong device to keep the viewer’s attention. You are to be commended for your creative growth. This is a Conceptual art work that truly defines “transitions!”
