  1. Look at the work for few moments and Edgar forced your fleeting attention.to standstill; the red looks imposing; blue is sober but overall the expression is ” stop… you are transiting…,” Your movements are noticed. Be careful.,”

  2. The linear flow takes the viewer on a journey throughout the work, paused by the contrast and fixed blue hooves. The piece elicits emotion and the strength of the composition is evident in the strong balance of the light / dark values. It displays confidence in your technique and moves the linocut into a new realm of multi color applications.

  3. Thanks for your submission. This art work is really exceptionally powerful due to the highly contrasting tones, the vibrant colors, the lines which give motion and rhythm! The theme “Transitions” is well addressed in this work with the Mare and new born Foal. Really dynamic and I also appreciate the skill that you have in working with linocut. It is a pleasure to view your art work and to see your creative language growing. I look forward to seeing more of your art works.

  4. The choice of red as the main colour works well adding warmth and impact. The nurturing protective stance of the mother with the bewildered, startled look of the new foal has been captured perfectly!
