Being by Asia Scudder
Artist name: Asia Scudder
This piece represents what I believe to be the spirit of hope that mankind possesses, even in spite of great obstacles. This is represented here by clearing away – as visualized by wings of an angel – any blocks that could create obstacles for the individual in the center of the piece.

Thank you for your submission, Asia! I really appreciate the skill you have in working with baling wire! Truly an amazing piece of art! The angel is clearly protecting and working on behalf of the figure and this is a good and clear example of Love!
Drawing with wire – a very original and appealing medium presented in a masterful manipulation of the medium creating tonal values and a most interesting composition. It is interesting how you have created the effect that seems as though some of the image could be construed as shadows yet under close inspection the repetitive lines are actual wires. Well done. I look forward to seeing more.
