“LOGOTHETIS” is a greek word that means: the higher spirit which sets the words and the thoughts of wisdom in a human’s mind. This is what the sculpture represents, the higher spirit takes the form of the pigeon which sets the wisdom in the head of this human figure and from the back of it’s head the dark thoughts and fear are leaving, taking the form of a cobra.

  1. Mythology is certainly a vast source from which an artist can draw on to create their works and, at the side of history, has always been one of the hottest topics represented in art history, particularly during the Italian Renaissance.
To enjoy aesthetically of a work that speaks of myth or logos or mythology, is necessary to know the theme. In this case Panteleimon Souranis explains who was the Titan Tethis, so allows us to appreciate his creative and sculptural skills, with a very good outcome.
