The space between notes
I live by the sea, the waves are my life, so I have put the notes growing from the waves. I paint while I am listening to my favourite music. The silence between the notes is as important as the space between words and the gaps between the waves.

While I appreciate the musical allegory afforded the sea, I think this work, structurally sound in composition and concept as it is, leaves quite some room for a deepening of its meaningfulness were a piece of music attributed to it. The notation in evidence in the work itself gives no clue as to what that musical connection might beand while there is trace letting to be seen, the flitter of silver hearts seem to be superfluous and visually somewhat reductive to the overall image. I am missing something of substance here.
