An interesting composition with a strong chiaroscuro effect complimented by the blues, yellow and gold. The warm umbers and soft edges enhance the sleeping figure, giving the viewer a connection to the artist’s intent. Very expressive realism, well executed.
I love the pillow as a point to catch my eye. It looks almost like a flower. Great sensuality and mood which exudes a gentle serenity.
When the music is over, everything returns to silence. The last night standers surrender to sleep in this peculiar hour when the town turns dumb. I love the satinated quality of your paint & the way you dimed the edge of light zones, slightly pixelized, like if it had been worked with a sponge. Great find to have kept these two buildings only under the moon glow to stage this urban. Interesting arabesque of the body. A lot of presence & atmosphere, fascinating.. Thanks a lot..
The soft lyricism of the sleeping figure, lingers visually, with great effect. The artistry and technical elegance speaks for itself, yet the depiction of a musical link to the theme of this month competition is absent and I find that regrettable.
