The composition gains it’s strength from a complimentary color contrast enhanced by a transition of dark color and bright yellow highlights. That’s what painting dealers call a “sectional/ parcellaire” work, generally a remaining part from a complete one which doesn’t mean they loose artistic interest. But it’s a curious choice to do it by intent; You probably wanted to focus on the openings of the instrument? My interest goes to the material in use; It looks thick & worked like with a knife & your amber colour is rich..The strings look like real as well as the bridge; are they? We would have been thankfull for more informations.
