The figures are interesting and the tension is evident. I find the figures are good as they imply movement and create an interesting pattern over the backdrop. I think the bottom 20% of the image done in a darker hue and less background pattern would add more impact to this piece. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
This is a composition that is clearly a crisis! The boy on the right appears to be pinching the other boy’s nose. So bullying comes to my mind. Then you have the fleur de lys and the stars throughout the background so I am given time to pause and consider how nations influence young boy’s thoughts and feelings. Our children are our greatest responsibility and here I believe that you have depicted how nations can disrupt the innocence of youth. Your overall composition is interesting. Thank you for your submission!
Yelp seems more to the point of this kind of adolescent or perhaps sibling anatagonism. There is less depiction of a scream than there is animosity and the prevalent kind of torturous button pushing that pervades much of childhood. It tells more of stereotypical stress than actual crisis and framing it with a certain docile domesticity in the wallpaper kind background leaves an interesting visual aftertaste.
