This piece fits more in the concept of New work. It’s a design of a jug with some elements of precolombine peruvian iconography.

  1. The shape is most unique and your ratios of proportion are aesthetically pleasing. I sense a composition primarily geometric but also see organic and cultural values making the piece most interesting. Usually I see a separation between functional and fine art but this is fine art made functional. It is pleasing from all perspectives and I congratulate you on a beautiful work.

  2. Thank you for providing three views of this interesting jug. I appreciate the skills that you have to create this. The symbolism is, for me, profound. It could come from any culture; African, Eskimo, First Nations, even Egyptian! So it would seem to be quintessential; that which is an experience known to all of us.The contrast of textures and proportions are very pleasing to the eye.

  3. A very terrestrial piece; The base is largely in touch with earth for over half the total height of the piece & the narrowing in the midst reinforces the impression. Over your architectural qualities I value its rich symbolism beyond a “funny” or “naive” appearance; If the beaker affects a bird profile it figures an egg split in two.
The yellow part is a sun going its way from rise to zenith that the black stripe behind may figure. All this in a drop, the water element the jug is devoted to. Here are the four vital elements, also present in the making.
    Thanks for the Essential, Herminia..
