This painting is absolutely ecstatic! I really like the use of color, texture and your unique way of making marks. The composition is well balanced with the use of purple in three places in the background. The colorful figure seems to be actually twisting by way of the use of opposite colors and bits of color flying outward. Love the little heels! Thanks for your submission. I hope to see more of your art works.
The entire work flows with a rhythm of light and color. The figure is beautifully composed and positioned on the canvas, and yes the heels are a great touch. Your abstractions are beautifully balanced between the figure and the background and the proportioning of the colors add to the impact.
I love your patchwork of vivid colors textured; I could imagine it partly growing at random, humanized afterwards with such details as heels & eyebrows, being responsible for this lively & unexpected pose. This dancing costume is a work of art fully part of the performance. If you’re interested, just have a look at Lev Bakst costumes he designed during the 10’s for Diaghilev’s Russian Ballets; We’re very close to this for principle & extravagance.
I appreciate the texture contrast the washed background brings up but can’t hold myself trying different ones to see how it looks.
