  1. An interesting wet technique more akin to watercolors makes the colors flow through these two pieces. The first work caries am impact in the color contrast while the second has a more balanced composition with an apparent notan, ( notan is a Japanese term implying a compositional balance primarily but not limited to light dark values). Both are good works but the second surpasses the first in rhythm and balance.

  2. Thank you for your submission Rajat. I enjoy your use of colors and feel that the second painting is very well unified. There is lots of contrast in the first painting and a sense of continuous movement from one area to the other. The second painting has a pleasing rhythm leading the eye out at the upper right hand corner. I look forward to seeing more of your paintings!

  3. The application of colours reveal strong emotions which is quite effective in drawing the viewer in. It can be quite evasive and deceiving at first glance as there is something more to this than meets the eye. Good job and congratulations.
