MDF – medium density fiber board similar to Masonite makes a good, stable material for acrylics and oils and your skill with the material is evident in the motif you have created with the cutting and attachment of various shapes. The paint application compliments the shapes and enhances a delicate sense of movement throughout the piece. The presentation of the piece on a dark background would be better as the white background creates too strong a contrast. This may not be an issue when the work is hung on a wall. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
It is important to tell us the date your art work was completed. From your entry I am not sure if you have completed this art work in 2013? I feel you are very skilled in your use of materials and I’m certain from the photograph that this is 2 D. I enjoy the earthly colors and the two pillars on either side are somewhat architectural, whereas the middle is more from nature. You have arranged the three parts in a symmetrical manner by having the middle section placed directly in the center. For uneven numbers of objects as in three parts it can work well to have them a little off center. However, if you are happy with this as it is, this is fine. We are each progressing at our own pace of creativity! I look forward to seeing more of your art work.
