Perpective by Martina Caffdrey Shannon
Inspiration for this painting comes from this poem written by Poet and Inventor Peter Mc Cartney. “Perspective” In mirrors reflection an image seen. Though perfect picture, a vision only ever yours. This vision’s light you shine, in cruel twist If a slight maligned in vision’s light defined Where echo falls, a voice speaks. Acoustic perfect, never quite the sound intended to be In every uttered word project, a thought. distorts, and cracked on every fall. A sentence never quite shared.

The repetitive but variable reflections of shapes intensifies the interest of the viewer in assimilating the floating aspect of the three dimensional impression of the boxes over the flat plane of the background. Everything is in motion in this piece and the light values and colors bind the composition whether we look at a part or the whole. Original and well done – very good.
Thank you for your submission. I enjoy the intricate balance of non symmetrical objects, the colors, the circles and blank circles. This composition is intriguing. I look forward to seeing more of your art work.
