I like the contrast of texture in the figure and the softness of the shadows at the bottom of the art work. This creates an interesting tension that serves to direct the viewer to the figure. There seems to be a very natural balance and rhythm in this composition. As well I feel a sense of history from the sculpted figure and yet nature due to the leaf like shadows at the bottom of the art work!
