The reflection of music by Benjamin Casiano

Size: 24×30 acrylic on canvas

Benjamin has been inspired by the masters since childhood, painting any chance he could. His work has gone from photorealism to cubism but it is mostly through the abstract expressionism movement that had the most profound effect on where his large prolific work is today.

  1. Please tell us the year and month that your art work was completed. I appreciate that you have considered the theme this month of Reflections! I like the cubist shapes and the warm and cool colors that give movement to this art work. Also the dark line through the instrument is a wonderful directive for movement and rhythm that leads the eye out of the art work. I hope to see more of your art work.

  2. This piece shows a great sense of proportion both in composition and color. The tonal values are subtle creating a harmony throughout the work that embellishes the sense of movement displayed by the figure. The linear aspect adds impact to the work and defines interesting segments throughout the piece. The frame does no justice to the painting. It is too imposing in color and profile. Beautiful and very well done.
