OPTIONS

For members who find it difficult to concentrate or settle the MIND to use:

  • Option 1 – visualization technique of closing the eye imagine you are at a place were there is  water flowing over waterfall or looking at the waves at the  seaside and enjoy the movement and sound of water connecting to your breathe, gradually direct your mind to listen to the sound of your breathe as you inhale than exhale, feeling more relax both the body followed by the mind.

  • Option 2 –  the breathing technique to following the instruction: Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Take a few moments to “simply be”. Notice whatever is being experienced in the moment — sounds, physical sensations, thoughts, feelings — without trying to do anything about it.

  • Continue like this for a  while, allowing yourself to settle down.

Notice the changes of the weather pattern around, any settle sensation you feel is different, now bring the attention back to the breath. Simply observe the breath as it moves in and out as the body inhales and exhales. Notice how the breath moves in and out automatically, effortlessly. Don’t try to manipulate or force it in any way. Notice all the details of the experience of breathing — the sensing of the air moving in and out of the nose, the way the body moves as it breathes.

The mind will wander away from the breath — that’s fine, it doesn’t matter. That’s a part of the meditation! When you notice that you are no longer observing the breath, is the time to bring your attention back with minimum effort.

Let all of your experiences — thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations — come and go in the background of your awareness of the breath. Notice how all of your experiences — thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, awareness of sounds and smells — come automatically and effortlessly like the breath, is the way to continue our practice sitting comfortably enjoying this moment.

As soon as you settle down with your breath technique feeling calm and peaceful to gradually move effortlessly toward introducing a deeper visualization technique of seeing light flowing around the body – the colour of light being Blue moving up and down from the head to your toe as you breath in and out slowly begin to see the colour change to a warm golden-yellow healing light all around the body and when you are ready start to project this lovely glow move further away bringing family, friends or any person, you would like to share your experience.., all this should be done without any effort just relax and enjoy the whole experience..

Mentally. physically and emotionally we are the same.  We each have the potential to good and bad and to be overcome by disturbing emotions such as anger, fear, hatred, suspicion and greed. These emotions can be the cause of many problems.  On the other hand if you cultivate loving kindness, compassion and concern for others, there will be no room for anger, hatred and jealousy.

“In Prayer we ask a question..,

In Meditation we receive the answer..,”

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi founder of the Transcendental Meditation

“Enjoy your life and be happy.
Being happy is of the utmost importance.
Success in anything is through happiness.
More support of nature comes from being happy.
Under all circumstances be happy, even if you have to force it a bit to change some long standing habits.
Just think of any negativity that comes to you as a raindrop falling into the ocean of your bliss.
You may not always have an ocean of bliss, but think that way anyway and it will help it come.
Doubting is not blissful and does not create happiness.
Be happy, healthy, and let all that love flow through your heart.”

We began our journey for World meditation Day for Peace and Healing in August 2013, as members of GICAS we felt it was a lovely way to celebrate our first anniversary of our organisation by meditating as one global family focusing our joint efforts for the greater good of the Universe.  Our practice continues to grow each month as new members join us, helping to increase our Gift of creativity and to spread Peace and Healing energy around the Globe..,

WORLD MEDITATION FOR PEACE AND HEALING – We LOOK FORWARD TO 2015 an auspicious year for all the members of GICAS, family, friends and guests to meditate together, where each month we introduce and dedicate our program to one of the twelve Spiritual Wonder’s of THE World.

To complete our 20th monthly World Meditation Day we select our third in the series of Spiritual Wonders of The WORLD,  we visit The beautiful romantic place  a GIFT of LOVE – THE TAJ MAHAL in INDIA.

No image of The Taj, neither on canvass nor on celluloid, can adequately express its conceptual imaginary nor convey the legend, the poetry and the romance that shrouds what Rabindranath Tagore calls “a teardrop on the cheek of time”.

The Taj Mahal, a spectacle in white marble, unparalleled in grandeur that depicts the sheer opulence of an era. The awesome structure, the monument of love that Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan gave to the world, stands as a testimony of his intense love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal.

Taj Mahal stands on the bank of River Yamuna, at that time the center of the Mughal emperors until they moved their capital to Delhi in 1637.  build by the fifth Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan in 1631 in memory of his third but the most favourite wife, in fact a soul-mate Mumtaz Mahal, a Muslim Persian princess.

Taj Mahal means “Crown Palace” and is in fact the most well preserved and architecturally beautiful tomb in the world.

The English poet, Sir Edwin Arnold has described The Taj as “Not a piece of architecture, as other buildings are, but the proud passions of an emperor’s love wrought in living stones.”
