OPTIONS

For members who find it difficult to concentrate or settle the MIND to use:

  • Option 1 – visualization technique of closing the eye imagine you are at a place were there is  water flowing over waterfall or looking at the waves at the  seaside and enjoy the movement and sound of water connecting to your breathe, gradually direct your mind to listen to the sound of your breathe as you inhale than exhale, feeling more relax both the body followed by the mind.

  • Option 2 –  the breathing technique to following the instruction: Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Take a few moments to “simply be”. Notice whatever is being experienced in the moment — sounds, physical sensations, thoughts, feelings — without trying to do anything about it.

  • Continue like this for a  while, allowing yourself to settle down.

Notice the changes of the weather pattern around, any settle sensation you feel is different, now bring the attention back to the breath. Simply observe the breath as it moves in and out as the body inhales and exhales. Notice how the breath moves in and out automatically, effortlessly. Don’t try to manipulate or force it in any way. Notice all the details of the experience of breathing — the sensing of the air moving in and out of the nose, the way the body moves as it breathes.

The mind will wander away from the breath — that’s fine, it doesn’t matter. That’s a part of the meditation! When you notice that you are no longer observing the breath, is the time to bring your attention back with minimum effort.

Let all of your experiences — thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations — come and go in the background of your awareness of the breath. Notice how all of your experiences — thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, awareness of sounds and smells — come automatically and effortlessly like the breath, is the way to continue our practice sitting comfortably enjoying this moment.

As soon as you settle down with your breath technique feeling calm and peaceful to gradually move effortlessly toward introducing a deeper visualization technique of seeing light flowing  from the top of the head slowly guiding  – the colour of light being Blue around lower body down to  your toe as you breath in and out,  slowly drawing our attention to see the colour change to a warm golden-yellow healing light all around the body and when you are ready start to project this lovely glow move further away bringing into your mind family, friends or any person, you would like to share your experience with .., all this should be done without any effort just relax and enjoy the whole experience..

Congratulation you have just completed your first experience of being a meditator now join us each month.., HAPPY MEDITATION.

Mentally. physically and emotionally we are the same.  We each have the potential to good and bad and to be overcome by disturbing emotions such as anger, fear, hatred, suspicion and greed. These emotions can be the cause of many problems.  On the other hand if you cultivate loving kindness, compassion and concern for others, there will be no room for anger, hatred and jealousy.

“In Prayer we ask a question..,

In Meditation we receive the answer..,”

“Enjoy your life and be happy.
Being happy is of the utmost importance.
Success in anything is through happiness. More support of nature comes from being happy.
Under all circumstances be happy, even if you have to force it a bit to change some long standing habits.
Just think of any negativity that comes to you as a raindrop falling into the ocean of your bliss.
You may not always have an ocean of bliss, but think that way anyway and it will help it come.
Doubting is not blissful and does not create happiness.
Be happy, healthy, and let all that love flow through your heart.”

We began our journey for World meditation Day for Peace and Healing in August 2013, as members of GICAS we felt it was a lovely way to celebrate our first anniversary of our organisation by meditating as one global family focusing our joint efforts for the greater good of the Universe.  Our practice continues to grow each month as new members join us, helping to increase our Gift of creativity and to spread Peace and Healing energy around the Globe..,

WORLD MEDIATION FOR PEACE AND HEALING – We LOOK FORWARD TO 2015, an auspicious year for all the members of GICAS, family, friends and guests to meditate together, where each month we introduce and dedicate our program to one of the twelve Spiritual Wonder’s of THE World

For our 22nd World Meditation for Peace and Healing , we move across to the continent of South America, the region known as the “LAND OF THE FOUR QUARTERS”.

The Legends of The Incas

The great Kings of the Incas their spirits live today
Where the condor o’er the Andes is soaring far away
And the ghost of Athahualpa is forever looking down
On that country he ruled over in his decade of renown.

The Spanish did not spare him though to them gold he did give
But when Pizarro’s name is forgotten Athahualpa’s will still live
And the great Gods of the Incas will outlive the Gods of Spain
And the legend that grew with them to this day with us remain.

Since the glory days of the Incas near five centuries have gone
But the legacy of Pachacuti and Topa Inca forever will live on
And though the great kings of the incas did not have a lengthy span
Theirs was a glorious era in the history of man.

One hundred years of glory till Pizarro and his army came
And in the history of human kind another blot of shame
Their kings were executed and statues of their Gods destroyed
And their last Manko and his followers to the jungle fled to hide.

O’er the mountains of the Andes where the mighty condor soar
The spirits of the Incas looking down forever more
And when the name of Pizzaro from the history book has gone
The legend of the Incas forever will live on.

WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM OUR ANCIENT CIVILIZATION?

For the month of May we want to spend time in our creative lounge, exploring and learning from our next Spiritual Wonders of WORLD. The ancient civilization of the INCA, investigate its customs, rituals, cultures and untold secrets.   And together we want to spend our time to solve some of these mystery that remain unsolved.  At the height of its existence the Inca Empire was the largest nation on Earth and remains the largest native state to have existed in the western hemisphere. The administrative, political, and military center of the empire was located in Cusco in modern-day Peru.  What messages have the ancient civilisation left us? And can we apply them in today’s modern world?

“Land of the Four Quarters” or Tahuantinsuyu is the name the Inca gave to their empire. It stretched north to south some 2,500 miles along the high mountainous Andean range from Colombia to Chile and reached west to east from the dry coastal desert called Atacama to the steamy Amazonian rain forest.
